I started my blog on a private free web host…it allows you to customize your stuff much more and gives you total control over your site, some good free web hosting and blog hosting links can be found at:http://triponic.com/guidestutorials/onli…
If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don’t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months’ time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.

My personal new choice is http://www.freedomspress.com/ just because it’s a social blog. It’s pretty new but if your like me and just want to write, yet still have potions available to use then check it out. I just started on there and like it better then my blogger site. Here’s my column on there and have a look. If you look at the blog posts you’ll notice a bunch of buttons at the bottom that let you post your blog entries on other sites as well like digg and facebook to name a few… thats why I’m using it.
