I Am Hosting A Birthday Party For My 8 Year Old Next Weekend, What Should I Serve?

I want something that I can sit out, not having to worry about keeping it warm. A cold dish that adults and children can enjoy. I was thinking hot dogs, a large fruit salad and something else as an alternative to hot dogs. What else can I serve? The weather is expected to be sunny, low 90’s, so I need some ideas. Any suggestions?

A veggie/dip platter is good too …* and a bean salad can sit out for hours (just open & drain cans of cut green beans, kidney beans, sliced carrots, garbanzo beans & mix with some Italian dressing – marinate for a few hours) …..*.For the fruit salad: hollow out half of a watermelon, and put the cut melon & fruit back into the watermelon shell to serve it …..* Quiche is good, even if it’s at room temp….

Taco in a bag! Mini bag of doritos with half the chips, taco meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. give them a fork and toss when done. my 7yr old loves these. also gross but kids seem to like it pickle pops, frozen pickle juice in a dixie cup with toothpick as a stem. dessert anything with chocolate!
