Okay, I am trying to install a simple DNS server on windows server 2003. The win2k3 ‘computer’ is actually a virtual PC on my windows vista laptop. The problem I ran into was when it was I got to the Configuring Components part. A message pops up and says that I need to insert the disc labeled SP1. I dont have it. So i just downloaded it from Microsoft. Now when I try it, it says that it needs the disc labeled: Win2K3 standard edition.
Any Ideas?

You need the Windows 2003 Standard Edition CD – or at least the contents of the i386 folder that’s on it. Where did you get the Virtual machine from? The virtual 2003 server had to have been installed from SOMEWHERE. Use the CD that installed it.
