I inherited a trade show from another coordinator. The coordinator collected the sales tax from the vendors and submitted it to the state tax collector. Unfortunately, I have been provided no guidance and I do not know how to complete this transaction. Any advice?

You would be responsible in the state that the items are sold. Most trade show coordinators collect the tax from the individual vendor. You should let the vendor know ahead of time that they will be liable for the taxes. This way they can keep records of their sales to give to you at the end of the show.
