I been trying to connect the internet up to my playstation through my laptop via optus wireless. ive tried connecting through a netgear router and straight from the laptop to the ps3 and every time i try it finds the ip address but comes up with a DNS error. ive tried basically everything i can think of and out of ideas. can some one please help!

what you should do is try running the ps3 straight off the router instead of through the laptop.thats how i got mine configured.ive got the main desktop computer which is connected to the modem and wireless router.then ive got the laptop and the ps3 connected seperately on the network.to run the ps3 straight off the router go into network settings and search for wireless connections.it should find your connection.then it will ask you for the connection password(if you have one,highly recommended) and after that you should be all set.now when you turn the ps3 on as long as ur internet is running the ps3 will be connected
